{Queen Bee} Thank you Teacher Collection

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 4 - 8th and if you haven't started to think what you are going to do for your child's teacher, look no further!

It is so important for me to take the time to do something special for my child's teachers because without them he wouldn't enjoy going to school everyday and wouldn't have progressed so much over the past two years. My child LOVES his teachers and his teachers aides and it is so nice to hear him talk about them when he gets home from school. I know that he is in good hands and it is clear that they care about their students. This year is extra important for us to show our gratitude because it is my son's last year with them as he starts his new adventure in Kindergarten in the Fall.

The thing is, it doesn't have to be extravagant or expensive, but just doing something little and nice is enough to show your appreciation. Teachers really do so much for our children and they truly deserve so much more, but doing even a little something special is perfect and they will really love it!
I created this year's collection as an extension from last year. It is still the chalkboard theme, but this year I was really inspired by the mason jar, pencils, and adding more color with red and yellow! So I painted spray a mason jar yellow and had a couple of tags with sayings to really play up the Ball mason jar and pencils. (Doing this is super simple, first spray paint your jar with chalkboard spray paint, after that dries spray paint it with a yellow spray paint, once that dries use a light sandpaper and remove paint over the "Ball" and any other areas that you want to make look "vintage", finally spray a coat of clear satin spray paint. Voila, done in a couple of hours!)

I love to add something sweet to the mix, so I created these "pencils" out of candy (there is a Rolo and a Hershey kiss inside)! I also had to add a little tag with a cute saying! (Again, this is such an easy craft, all you need is yellow and pink construction paper, candy, silver ribbon, foil, or gray construction paper and with a little measuring cutting and gluing together, these cute "pencils" are ready for a special teacher!)
Lastly, I created a gift card holder. What is nice about this is that you can add just about any gift card so no worries if your child's teacher doesn't drink coffee or doesn't shop at Target (though who doesn't love going to Target)?

Good thing you still have a week until Teacher Appreciation Week begins! Get your craft on and don't forget to say thanks!
The Thank You Teacher Printable Collection is only $5! To order the collection all you need to do is send me an email to thesugarbeebungalow@hotmail.com!
